FLORA¶
The united colours of Patagonia

The Floralis Generica in Buenos Aires. Intended to represent all flowers. In bygone days, it used to close its petals in the evening and reopen them in the morning. It’s big, at 18 tons and 75 feet high!
FAUNA¶

Sea lions in Ushuaia, Argentina.

Fun with Magellanic penguins.

Curicaca, or buff necked ibis.

The guanaco, cousin of the llama, was seen in the South. Very cute.
FOOD¶
No need to show you the delicious alfajores cookies or the char-grilled meats being cooked in the streets. It would be too mean of me. So...

The South American version of a Jiggs Dinner. Surprizingly similar to the Newfoundland treat. Nothing says tasty like salt meat and root vegetables.

Scallops and other mushy stuff. Terry loved it.

New fangled Croque-Monsieur, with toasted bechamel sauce to top it off.

Oops, this photo of a charcoal BBQ with a bag of meat, just waiting to go on the grill wasn’t supposed to be here. The smell of promised char-grilled meat was amazing.

Our well deserved whiskey and chocolate when we completed our glacier hike.
FUNNY¶

Carousel with a tank seat option.

Terry as a Duende del Bosque. The forest sprites were everywhere in Bariloche.

Christmas in South America.

Terry tried his hand at an antique piano. He was a quick study. Amadeus, Amadeus!

There was finally room for us by the ship’s pool...and then the hail came!
